KAIA ia an AI-powered visual search and styling assistant designed to enhance the e-commerce experience for the shapewear brand SKIMS. The concept addresses key challenges in online apparel shopping, particularly fit uncertainty, product visualization, and high return rates, by integrating computer vision, generative AI, and agentic AI into the shopping journey.
The project combines consumer research, AI landscape analysis, and e-commerce strategy to demonstrate how intelligent retail technology can increase customer confidence and reduce friction in digital shopping. By allowing shoppers to visualize how shapewear will appear under garments and receive tailored recommendations, KAIA aims to increase conversion rates, decrease cart abandonment, and significantly reduce return rates caused by fit mismatch.
The concept positions SKIMS as a leader in AI-driven personalized commerce, transforming shapewear shopping into a confidence-building experience that prioritizes inclusivity, accurate fit, and seamless digital interaction.
